Abstract
This paper presents a systematic survey of consumer-side (C-end) users’ actual demand structure for artificial intelligence, based on publicly available global AI industry data as of April 2026. The research finds that approximately 90% of the AI industry’s resources are concentrated on enterprise-grade productivity tools, yet 70% of consumer usage scenarios involve non-work personal life needs — information consulting, self-expression, and emotional reflection. More critically, privacy fears are actively suppressing users’ deepest interaction needs: 64% of users worry about inadvertently disclosing private information in AI, causing a large volume of intimate conversational needs to be inhibited by self-censorship mechanisms. This paper argues that only locally-deployed, voice-interactive, out-of-the-box personalized AI can simultaneously resolve the triple bottleneck of privacy protection, interaction barriers, and personalization evolution, thereby unlocking suppressed market demand worth hundreds of billions of dollars.
